About FSC® certification
FSC® stands for "Forest Stewardship Council®". FSC® is a non-profit organization that promotes global responsible forest management through certification of forests, companies, and products. It is a labeling scheme for wood, paper, and other cellulose-based materials, supported by recognized NGOs such as WWF World Wide Fund for Nature and Forests of the World.
The goal is to collectively create a better future for the world's forest areas. Where no more wood is felled than the forest can regenerate. Forest workers must have access to training, safety equipment, and a decent wage. A world where we protect our forests and manage them sustainably.
What difference does FSC® make?
In FSC®-certified forests, the forest area will remain the same generation after generation. FSC® helps address some of the challenges facing forests regarding social conditions, workers' rights, biodiversity, endangered species, aquatic environments, and deforestation. In FSC®-certified forests, the forest owner must protect natural values, such as rare and endangered animal species and their habitats.
FSC® creates common solutions where social and environmental organizations meet with industry and forest owners to find ways to manage forests in a socially and environmentally responsible manner. Together, we can slow down climate change and ensure vibrant forests for future generations.
FSC® contributes to 14 of the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals and directly to 40 different sub-targets through its social, economic, and environmental requirements for responsible forest management.
Who is behind FSC®?
We are FSC® certified (FSC® C186933), which means we are subject to a control and traceability system that ensures that FSC® certified products consist only of materials from FSC® certified forests, along with other responsible materials.

Responsibility that goes further
Design is not just about what you see – but also about the choices behind it.
We take responsibility for our entire value chain, including packaging and producer responsibility.
As a member of VANA, we ensure that the packaging we place on the market is part of an approved and controlled system for collection and recycling. This means that our producer responsibility is handled correctly – legally, financially, and administratively – in accordance with current EU regulations.
For us, this is not just an obligation, but a conscious priority. A choice to conduct business thoughtfully – and to take responsibility for more than just the product itself.
